Building your own catchment model
Catchment models (conceptual diagrams) are an effective tool to communicate complex messages about what goes on in a catchment in a simple and informative manner.
The University of Maryland provides a information and instructions on creating catchment models, as well as a free graphic library providing images for use in model building. Given enough notice, they are also happy to design graphics specific for your needs.
The Coastal Cooperative Research Centre has a tool to help you build your own conceptual diagram or catchment model.
Great Barrier Reef posters
The Catchment to Reef website has two great posters for download:
- Catchment to Reef - shows the connections between land and sea in the Great Barrier Reef
- The Blue Highway - shows how the Great Barrier Reef 'works'
